Up to 9 major diseases among the top ten causes of death among Chinese people have been confirmed related to PM2.5 exposure!! A large part of this is due to the lack of knowledge about PM2.5 aerosols, and therefore lack of crisis awareness. Therefore, it is one of the important tasks that the center is committed to performing to strengthen the science education of PM2.5 aerosol science and enhance the environmental protection awareness of the community to prevent themselves from being exposed to PM2.5! The center combines science, engineering, marine, biomedicine, members in education, and other cross-field experts committed to training seed teachers of K-12.

The center and the Education Bureau of Kaohsiung City Government jointly organized the 'Kaohsiung City K-12 Air Quality Education Seed Teacher Training' and 'Research Camp' at Sun Yat-sen University on 107/4/23 to bring air pollution knowledge to the campus. Nearly a hundred principals, teachers, students, and volunteers participated enthusiastically in this activity. The study was based on air quality-related theories, combined with domestic and foreign air pollution cases for analysis, to understand the importance and connotation of air quality education. In addition to theoretical explanations and case analysis, we also visited the special exhibition "Painting the Sun PM 2.5 Vision" planned and designed by Sun Yat-Sen University and conducted teaching plan design and discussion discussions to provide first-line educators with more appropriate air pollution teaching materials. More members of the public and school students at all levels can learn the relevant knowledge of every aspect of PM 2.5, work together to improve the quality of the environment, and protect their health and their families. Due to the overwhelming response, the center and the Kaohsiung Education Bureau jointly organized four advanced training sessions for air quality education seed teachers on 10/19, 11/14, 11/15, and 11/28. The center has completed 5 training sessions for air quality seed teachers in Kaohsiung City in 107 (36 hours of training, 335 students) and 4 training sessions for seed school teachers (4 elementary schools, 1 junior high school, training hours). In 108 years, the center plans to build a network resource platform for PM2.5 aerosol science and environmental education with seed teacher partners at all stages of K-12 learning to provide open digital courses to K-12 students across the country.  Grade school teachers will publish an air product education promotion manual, a national air product education board game, and refined AR and VR real-world education materials as a reference for teaching. In 108 years, the center will also work closely with the seed teachers and community lecturers of K-12 schools at all levels to promote air product education, and improve the scientific literacy of air products for K-12 teachers, students, and all citizens, to implement the common learning group to promote the environment The ultimate goal of education: the whole people participate in environmental protection actions and improve air quality.
