Postdoctoral Research Fellow — Position Announcement
The Aerosol Science Research Center (ASRC) at National Sun Yat-sen University (NSYSU) is the only research center in Asia dedicated exclusively to aerosol science. The center is committed to cutting-edge, interdisciplinary research spanning atmospheric aerosols, nanoparticles, environmental pollution, spectroscopic and mass spectrometric analysis, bioaerosols, health risk assessment, AI-assisted analysis, and computational simulation. We actively pursue international collaborations and cross-disciplinary innovation, working to build a globally influential research platform and train the next generation of scientists.

Responsibilities
• Conduct and develop the center's signature research projects
• Develop aerosol, spectroscopic, mass spectrometric, and particle analysis techniques
• Design experiments, analyze data, and prepare manuscripts for publication
• Assist in mentoring graduate students and supporting laboratory operations
• Participate in interdisciplinary integration and international collaborative research
• Contribute to research dissemination, patent applications, and technology development
• Assist in executing Ministry of Education–funded projects, including the Higher Education Sprout Project and featured domain initiatives
• Engage in inter-institutional, cross-disciplinary, and industry–academia exchange activities
Qualifications
• PhD in a relevant field from a domestic or international university
• Strong research enthusiasm, collaborative spirit, and capacity for independent research
• Publication record in SCI-indexed journals is a plus
• Interdisciplinary integration experience or international research background preferred
Candidates with experience in any of the following are especially encouraged to apply:
• Raman / IR / Fluorescence spectroscopy
• Aerosol optical tweezers
• LC-MS / GC-MS / Aerosol MS
• Computational fluid dynamics (CFD)
• Molecular simulation & theoretical calculations
• Cell culture & biomedical analysis
• Python / MATLAB / AI-based data analysis
Compensation
Salary is commensurate with NSYSU and National Science and Technology Council (NSTC) postdoctoral fellowship standards, with flexibility based on research experience and qualifications. Outstanding candidates may be supported in applying for international collaboration grants and research funding.
